Hi folks.
I seem to be getting a lot of interest in what I'm up to these days and although I'm up to my eyeballs, the majority of the work I'm doing is on the corporate after diner circuit which means it's pretty much a closed shop to the general public. I am however pleased to announce that I am doing a gig which is totally accessable to the general public. Better than that, it's in Las vegas!
I've been booked to do a show after the weigh in for the travelling Welsh fans ahead of the Joe Calzaghe V Bernard Hopkins fight(ironically it's the latter who sounds more like the Welshman) at the Planet Hollywood hotel on 18th April 2008.
Natually I'm really looking forward to it as Vegas is not only one of the most incredible places on the planet, but also the stomping ground of some of my favourite comics not to mention the place where I tied the knot with my lovely wife (she'll probably read this) so it'll be a real buzz to go back - especially when Joe lifts the belt.
Tickets are available through St. David's Sport and Screen on 02920 234567 so if you needed an excuse to go the old Sin City, there's a double header.
Seems like I'm becoming a bit of a boxing groupie (although I've turned down several offers to walk round the ring in my underpants between rounds holding up a number) as I have recently done a small tour with the legend that is Sir Henry Cooper. What a bloke!
He also happens to be president of the Variety Club Golf Society which I've recently joined and he told me how to take 10 shots off my game...by missing out two of the par 3's. Thanks Sir Henry! I may tell him what I think of that comment in no uncertain terms - then I'll probably put the phone down quick!
Anyway the second half of the Roma V Man U game has just started so that's all for now.
