Summer 2007
Hi there
Just a few lines to bring you up to speed with what's been happening at my end over the summer - or the season formerly known as summer.
By the way, speaking of weather, I must have picked the best two weeks to go on holiday as I completely missed all the recent rain and floods and came back to perfect sunshine. To be honest I wondered what all the fuss was about. I must say that for some reason I seemed to enjoy myself even more every time I looked at the weather reports to see that it was still peeing down at home. Sick, I know.
Anyway, its been a mad couple of months and I'm still being stalked by a cameraman after being lucky enough to win Funny Business. The series has followed me on doing a cross section of comedy gigs all over the country to give an insight into the wierd and wonderful world of stand up comedy. Its due on screens in the autumn so I'll keep you posted if anyone is interested.
I also had the pleasure of supporting the brilliant Russell Brand in Cardiff. Thoroughly enjoyable!
I've written a pilot episode for a sitcom too, and will let you know a little more when the time is right, if it all comes together.
I've been squeezing in the odd corporate here and there and swinging the occaional golf club. And the rest of my time has been spent with what should always be the no. 1 priority - the wife and family.
So thats me. I hope you're all fine and dandy and making the most of the summer we're getting. And just console yourself the next time it buckets down, that you could always be in Greece, sweating cobs in 50 degree heat like I was last week as I walked up the 200 steps to the Acropolis - or the Apocalypse as my daughter calls it... And to be honest it felt like the end of the world! As the old folks say, "I'm glad we don't have the extremes!"
